Allan Lee “Mouse” Litton, 62, Belle, passed away Thursday, Sept. 16, 2021.
He was born Aug. 29,1959, to the late Paul Leavern and Fern Alene (Jones) Litton in Jefferson City.
He was given the nickname “Mouse” at a young age and that was how he was best known.
Mouse was employed as a dump truck driver for Litton Trucking, the family business, he worked the Gasconade River oil spill clean-up and outages at the Callaway Nuclear plant. He was proudly employed as manager at Stickle Farms for many years.
Mouse enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing pool with his friends. He was an avid animal lover and spoiled countless pet cats and dogs over the years. Mouse had an unforgettable, infectious laugh and loved telling stories to his friends and family. It will be hard for anyone that knew and loved him to not remember a funny story involving him and even harder to contain a smile or laugh while doing so.
The last few years, Mouse’s health had declined and he often had to rely on the assistance of family and friends. Thankfully, Mouse was blessed with many of both. Whether you brought him something he needed, took him somewhere he needed to go, or just answered the phone or message he sent, it was appreciated. Mouse was especially blessed to have a close relationship with his great-nephew, KC Newton and family, Emily, Gage, Brady and Bailey.
He was preceded in death by parents, Paul Leavern and Fern Alene (Jones) Litton; sister, Neva Gene Redel; grandparents; brother-in-law, Tim Rose; nephew, Dusty Redel; niece, Paula Sue Jones; and great-nephews Eddie Jones and Dylan Nichols.
Mouse is survived by siblings, Carol Sue Rose and Mark Litton and wife Terri, all of Belle, Bernie Litton and wife Mitzi of Bland; brother-in-law, Danny Redel of Freeburg; many nieces, nephews, great-nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews; aunts, Wilma Nash, Delma Roellig and Mary Ridenhour; and many cousins and friends.
Private family graveside services and a Celebration of Life will be announced at a later date.
Memorial contributions suggested to the family to go towards a monument or in Mouse’s honor to a non-kill animal shelter.
Arrangements entrusted to Sassmann’s Chapel in Belle.
