Anna Mae Holterman, 90, Westphalia, passed away Monday, March 14, 2022, at Capital Region Medical Center.

She was born March 10, 1932, to the late Cornelius and Margaret (Stumpe) Westerman in Westphalia.

She was united in marriage to Elmer Edward Holterman May 20, 1953, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia.

Anna Mae was a 1950 graduate of St. Joseph High School in Westphalia.

She worked for the state capitol and later Employment Security before staying home to raise her children. Anna Mae later worked as a cook for St. Joseph Catholic School for over 29 years.

She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Ann’s Sodality and the Westphalia Senior Citizens Group.

Anna Mae loved to cook, travel, play bingo, watch shows in Branson, go to the casino and spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by parents, Cornelius and Margaret; husband, Elmer; and infant daughter, Louise Holterman.

Anna Mae is survived by children, Art Holterman and wife Mary Kay, Stanley Holterman and wife Sue, Dennis Holterman and Steve Holterman, all of Westphalia and Ruth Welschmeyer and husband Bernard of Freeburg; grandchildren, Gary Welschmeyer and wife Rosalyn, Jennifer Mitchell and husband Justin and Ben Holterman and wife Rachel; great-grandchildren, Lydia, Frank and Louis Welschmeyer, Camille, June and Lily Mitchell and Baby Holterman on the way; brother, Cornelius Westerman and wife Alice of Lohman; brother-in-law and sister-in-law, R.V. and Marilyn Gatz of Independence; and special family members, Mike and Ginger Kloeppel family.

Visitation will be from 4 until 7 p.m., (today) Wednesday, March 16, at Dulle-Trimble Funeral Home in Westphalia with a prayer service at 3:30 p.m.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10 a.m., Thursday, March 17, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Westphalia with the Rev. Anthony Viviano officiating.

Interment will be in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
