Bernard “Bernie” M. Brandt, 83, Chamois, passed away Saturday, Jan. 8, 2022, at his residence.
He was born Feb. 23, 1938, to the late Ben and Anna (Vasen) Brandt in Linn.
He was united in marriage to Annabelle Kremer April 18, 1959, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein.
Bernie’s working history consisted of logging with his brothers, a full-time cattle, goat, hog and crop farmer and school bus driver in Frankenstein for 30 years.
He was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein, a past member of the Missouri Cattleman’s Association, the Missouri Pork Producers, Osage County Pork Producers, Mid MO Pure and Power Association and the ORAPA Tractor Association.
Bernie was preceded in death by parents, Ben and Anna; brothers, Alphonse, Hugo, Leo and infant Paul Brandt.
He is survived by spouse of 62 years, Annabelle; daughter, Carol Crall and husband James of Camdenton; and four grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Monday, Jan. 17, at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Frankenstein with Fr. Colin P. Franklin officiating. Interment was in the Garden of Gethsemane Cemetery.
Memorial contributions suggested to St. Mary’s School in Frankenstein.
