William “Bill” L. Eickhoff, 82, Loose Creek, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2021, at SSM Health St. Mary’s in Jefferson City surrounded by his loving family.
He was born March 18, 1939, to the late Leo and Olivia (Orscheln) Eickhoff in Loose Creek.
He was united in marriage to Irene Williams April 29, 1961, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek.
Bill attended Immaculate Conception School in Loose Creek and was a 1957 graduate of Fatima High School in Westphalia. He served his country from 1957 until 1961 in the Missouri National Guard and Army Reserves.
Bill was employed by John Robertson Farms in Loose Creek and with Loose Creek Feed until 1967. He then went to work in residential and commercial construction for the next 38 years until his retirement in 2005.
Bill was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Loose Creek and American Legion Post #57 in Jefferson City.
He was an avid St. Louis Cardinal fan, enjoyed building bird houses and feeders and going on golfing vacations with his family.
Bill was preceded in death by wife of 46 years, Irene; parents, Leo and Olivia; son, Dennis Eickhoff; daughter, Linda Propst; and grandson, Colin Propst.
He is survived by son, Dale Eickhoff and wife Shae Marie of Jefferson City; daughters, Ruth Markway and husband Stanley of Westphalia, Susan Cassmeyer and husband Scott of Taos, Carol Hudspeth and husband Kevin of Loose Creek and Brenda Jean “BJ” Schwartze and husband Chad of Koeltztown; son-in-law, Don Propst of Honey Creek; grandchildren, Nathan Propst and wife Liz and Jason Propst, Natalie and Alexander Eickhoff, Ryan Markway and wife Heather and Megan Markway, Jordan and Tyler Cassmeyer, Zach and Kyle Hudspeth, Allison, Dylan and Emma Schwartze; and great-grandchildren, Paisley and Kellen Markway.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Saturday, May 8, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Anthony Rinaldo officiating. Interment was in the Immaculate Conception Parish Cemetery in Loose Creek.
