Carissa Ann Zimmer (originally of Freeburg) and Alexander Todd Brewer, of Grain Valley, were married at 6:30 p.m., Aug. 21, 2021 on top of a mountain in Boulder Colo. Mr. Chance McMullin, Gravois Mills, performed the double-ring ceremony.

Given in marriage by her parents, the bride wore a long-sleeved dress by designer Stella York that featured lace, flowing crepe chiffon, and lace long sleeves. The dress was gathered at the waist, with layers of chiffon that created a gorgeous effect, perfect for twirling across the dance floor. She carried a bouquet of white, pink and burgundy roses with eucalyptus and succulent accents. The bouquet contained special memorial pieces from family members who have passed away. The matron of honor was Michaela McMullin, Gravois Mills, friend of the bride. The bridesmaids were Brooklyn Worthey, Jefferson City, cousin of the bride and Alivia Brewer, Grain Valley, sister of the groom. They wore full length burgundy gowns. The best man was Aaron Brewer, Grain Valley, brother of the groom who also escorted the couple’s furry friend, Bella Ann Brewer, down the isle. The groomsmen included Austin Brewer, Grain Valley, brother of the groom and Shane Zimmer, brother of the bride, Freeburg. The flower girl was EmmaLynn Zimmer, Freeburg, niece and God-daughter of the bride, carried by Shayln Worthey, California, cousin of the bride and Zac Slaven, Grain Valley, friend of the groom. The ring bearer was Emil Joseph (EJ) Zimmer, Freeburg, nephew and God-son of the bride.

Following the ceremony, a reception was held at Upslope Brewery Company. To give everyone the opportunity to celebrate their marriage, a reception with dinner and dancing was hosted Aug. 28, at The Heritage Hall in Liberty.
