The Owensville Middle School has been very busy with upcoming and past events. Some past events that have sprung more involvement are the middle school section being shifted from the stands to the football field. At our new middle school seating, the mixed emotions about watching the football game from our new vantage point were sensible. Ivan Phillips shared, “Being down here makes me feel more connected to the game, even if my view isn’t the best.” Meanwhile, Quinn Knight added, “We were disappointed when it rained during the last game, but now that we’re right in the action, the energy is electric!”
Some upcoming events that they are in the midst of planning are the Veterans Day Assembly as well as preparing for some Halloween Costume Contests at school.” We also are working to ensure that student involvement is at a high for OMS students.” Taylor Loughridge, Student Council Representative, and 7th Grade ELA Teacher, is very excited about the year and getting more student involvement.
