CHAMOIS — Chamois aldermen approved new tires for the city’s truck for $677.56 at their meeting last Wednesday night. The new tires will be purchased from A & G Small Engines, LLC. The city received a quote from Chamois Ag Supply for $880 plus tax. Aldermen believed that the brand of tires was comparable in quality and chose the least expensive option.
Mayor Elise Brochu noted that the water project was proceeding, although at a slow pace, with additional paperwork to file. She will give a more detailed report at the January meeting.
• Aldermen approved outstanding bills for $18,666.02.
• Chamois had the following balances on their accounts: cemetery fund ($10,286.17), general fund ($23,075.22), water fund ($176,099.83), sewer fund ($96,080.61), City Community Development Block Grant (CBDG) ($1,250), city park ($3,331.59), American Rescue Plan (ARPA) ($77,213.68), city cemetery ($20,497.50), meter deposits ($22,063.61), and water repair ($28,960.24).
