Chamois defeated Fatima last Tuesday 41-24.
“This was probably our best game of the season so far,” said Coach Klayton Kuschel. “We played aggressively, and shared the ball well. We came out firing on all cylinders and took an 11-5 lead.
The Pirates cooled off a bit in the second half and allowed Fatima to battle back in it. Going into halftime, Chamois led 20-18.
In the third quarter, the Pirates extended the lead to 11 by breaking Fatima’s press for open shots, and continued extending in the fourth.
Dawson Brandt led with 15 points, with six assists while collecting eight rebounds and posting one steal. Caleb Keilholz had a double-double with 12 points and 10 to go with six assists and two steals.
Chris Slusser, Aaron Kirsch and William Kirsch scored four points each, while Landen Northway put in two. Slusser added two assists, five rebounds, a steal and three blocks, while A. Kirsch had five rebounds, W. Kirsch posted two boards, and Northway finished with one rebound.
Wyatt Reinkemeyer scored nine points to lead Fatima, as Lathen Rehagen added five, Graham Boeckmann put in four, and Chase Willis, Toby Bruce and Isaac Luebbert scored two each.
