CHAMOIS — Chamois Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) students helped brighten the season for residents at Westphalia Hills, a Stonebridge Community, and Harbor Place in Linn.
Students wrote Christmas cards and personal messages to all the residents, with some even adding festive drawings to the cards.
“This was an easy thing for us to do at our December meeting, and the facilities told us the residents really enjoy getting cards and mail,” Chamois FBLA President Madeline Gerloff said.
Service is one of the key pillars of Chamois FBLA activities.
This month and into January, students have been completing district tests in various business subjects. The District 2 FBLA Conference, of which Chamois and Linn are members, will be hosted at State Tech on Thursday, Feb. 16. At the end of the conference, winners who will move on to state competition in April in Springfield will be announced.
