Chamois built on a 26-18 halftime lead in Friday’s 45-27 win at home against Calvary Lutheran.
“This was a great win against a solid team,” said Coach Jack Rigdon. “Calvary had good guard play and some good post players. We did a very good job of containing them defensively, and did a better job tonight getting each other great looks. We’re a lot more efficient with our outside shooting. This was a good win with them being a conference and district opponent. We just need to continue to stay humble and be ready for Crocker on Thursday, which will be another test for us.”
Chamois owned most of the stats on the night, covering 9-19 from the outside and 6-9 from the stripe while shooting 48.4% overall.
After an 11-6 edge in the third, the Pirates closed out the game with an 8-3 fourth.
Dawson Brandt accounted for six of the team’s three-pointers and went 2-3 at the FT line as he scored 24 points to lead the way. He also had three rebounds, two assists, and a steal.
Brayden Cotten added 10 points, eight rebounds, and four assists, followed by Kaden Wuelling (6 points, rebound, 3 assists), and Caleb Keilholz (trey, 5 points, rebound, 2 assists, steal). Jaxon Wuelling added three rebounds, two assists, and a block, and Bill Kirsch had an assist and a rebound.
