CHS boys take third at Vienna

With several Chamois boys earning medals, the team finished third at Vienna.

“That is really good for them,” said Coach John Leach. We had a lot of good times on the small track, but it was also good for the jumpers and throws. I’m very proud of all of them.”

Caleb Keilholz won the shot put (39’4), and Dawson Brandt was first in the discus (118’11), as Kaden Wuelling was second in the 110m hurdles (19.07), Keilholz earned second in the 1600m (5:09.79), Cotton was second in the shot (38’11) and third in the disc (110’2).

Chamois was solid in the relays. Cotton, Evert Mehmert, Grayson Gerloff, and Bill Kirsch claimed second in the 4x200 (1:43); Kirsch, Jaxon Wuelling, K. Wuelling, and Brandt finished second in the 4x400 (3:53.02), and the 4x800 team of Kirsch, J. Wuelling, K. Wuelling, and Keilholz earned third in 9:43.64.

Kirsch was third in the 400m (57.64), and J. Wuelling earned third in the 800m (2:18.71).

At the Linn Invitational, Keilholz earned third in the 3200m (11:15.49), and Brandt finished sixth in the disc (116’6) to lead the Pirates.
