Cliff E. Thomeczek, 63, Linn, passed

away Sunday, July 26, 2020, on the family

farm.

He was born Dec. 12, 1956, to the late

Maurice “Fritz” and Marcella (Rustemeyer)

Thomeczek in Jefferson City.

He was united in marriage Feb. 4, 1978,

to Connie Dobsch at Community Christian

Church in Linn. She survives at the home.

Cliff was a 1975 graduate of Linn High

School and a 1980 graduate of Lincoln University earning a

bachelor’s degree in Agriculture. He served his country in the

U.S. Army. He was as a service man for Butterball Turkey for

32 years, retiring in May of 2014. Cliff was a member of St.

John’s United Methodist Church in Linn where he served on

various boards and committees. He served on the Linn RII

School Board as President and Treasurer and volunteered with

FFA, Boy Scout Merit Badge, he judged poultry at the Osage

County Fair and was a member of Linn Young Farmers.

Cliff was a simple man and lived by the phrase “Make it

last, wear it out, make do or do without”. He always wanted

to do good for someone else. He was proud of working on the

family farm being the 3rd generation to do so and he loved his

Farmall B tractor. Cliff loved running his chainsaw, making

great wine, and telling funny stories. His greatest enjoyment

came from spending time with his family and friends.

He is survived by Connie, his spouse of 42 years; sons,

Logan and wife Rachel of Bennington, Neb. and Kevin and

wife Jessica of Linn; daughter, Cindy Sieg and husband Joe of

Linn; grandchildren, Faith Sue Haley, Wren Marcella and Everly

Jean Thomeczek and Easton Barrett; brothers, Mark and wife

Pam, Frank, and Steve and wife Sheila, all of Columbia, Lee

and wife Cindy, Matt and wife Lisa, all of Linn, and Andrew

and wife Shirley of Loraine, Ill.; sisters, Christy Brandt and

husband Don of Linn, Ellen Larson of Overland Park, Kan.

and Laurie Holmes and husband Les of Kansas City; sisterin-

law, Stephania Abshier and husband Bill of DeSoto; and

many nieces, nephews and friends.

Visitation will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday, July 30,

at Morton Chapel in Linn. A Celebration of Life will be held at

11 a.m. Friday, July 31, at St. John’s United Methodist Church

in Linn with Rev. William Barkman officiating. Interment with

Full Military Honors will follow at Pointers Creek Cemetery

in Linn.
