Climate lesson from the ancient past

Posted

This story began a long time ago — about 12,000 years ago to be a little more precise. At that time in the north of Africa was a desert — later to become known as the Sahara Desert – that was larger than what is today the United States. The only inhabitable part of this vast expanse was the area along the Nile River.

Fast forward about 150 centuries to the period some 10,500 years ago (8,500 BC), and this desert wasteland began to experience a transformation. In a relatively brief time of between 50 and 200 years, heavy rains moved into the region and what had been nothing but thousands of miles of sand became lush and people and animals moved out of the Nile Valley and into this 4 million square miles (2.5 billion acres) of oasis-quality land.

The plentiful rainfall, creating moist and productive conditions, lasted for 3,000 years (until about 5,500 BC). It was only after that length of time the rainfall patterns changed and the land started to turn back into desert. The reversion of the land from highly-fertile to arid took 2,000 years.

Let’s look at this a little more closely. We’re talking about 2.5 billion acres of land that changed from desert to fertile plains and hills and back to desert over a period of 5,500 years. That is climate change on a major scale. But remember there were almost no people or animals in the desert when this all got started 10,500 years ago. Even when this land reverted back to desert over a span of 2,000 years, there were no factories or internal combustion engines to cause the change in climate. How do proponents of man-made climate change explain this? They don’t. They ignore it and they forbid anyone to talk about it.

When someone tells you climate change is man-made, they’re doing what Democrats, liberals and their pro-Chinese Communist buddies always do. They’re lying. Reporters from the Bay Area News Group found that since 2012, a total of 12.7 million acres have burned in California wildfires. This is 1.27 million acres per year. The reporters go on to say that this is double the 6.4 million acres that burned in the state during the decade prior to that. And this, you bunch of God-loving, bigoted, Republican, Trump-supporting dumb-asses, is proof positive of man-made climate change.

There has always been climate change. In Africa – between 8,500 BC and 3,000 BC, the climate created by God changed dramatically and on a massive scale, without any help from man. Compare the change in Africa (2.5 billion acres impacted for 5,500 years) to California (1.27 million acres burned per year for the past decade). Who’s the dumb-ass?

The problem is the climate-change thugs will use any tactic to get their way. They are not interested in the facts. They’re not interested in the truth. They want to control you and your life. Many college professors at our major public universities would lose their jobs if they challenged the climate-change mafia. Our First Amendment rights have never before been challenged to this degree.
