Clyde Laughlin

Clyde Elmer Laughlin, 80, Linn, passed away Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022 at Capital Region Medical Center.  

He was born Sept.7, 1941 to the late Robert and Marie (Hassler) Laughlin in Frankenstein.

 He was united in marriage to Sharon Shockley May 21, 1966 at Mint Hill Church in Linn.

Clyde was a 1959 graduate of Linn High School. He served his country in the U. S. Army from 1963 until his honorable discharge in December of 1965 upon his return from Vietnam. 

Clyde worked for the Missouri Department of Transportation for 30 years as a data analyst. He was also a lifelong farmer. 

Clyde enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing with his grandchildren. 

He was preceded in death by parents, Robert and Marie; and son, Jack. 

Clyde is survived by wife of 55 years, Sharon; sons, Jerry Laughlin, Jason Laughlin and wife Leah Ann and Jeff Laughlin and wife LeAnn; and grandchildren, Elizabeth, Isabell and Ava Laughlin, Wyatt Laughlin and Dallas Jump. 

Visitation will be held  from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, Jan. 7, at Millard Family Funeral Chapel in Linn. The funeral service will be held at 10 a.m., Saturday, Jan. 8, at Millard Family Funeral Chapel. Interment will be in Fairview Cemetery with full military honors.
