A surge of COVID cases among staff has caused the Osage County R-3 school district to cancel classes for the remainder of the week, according to Superintendent Chuck Woody.

Woody stated the district doesn't have enough substitute teachers to cover the staff shortage and that students and cafeteria workers have been hit hard as well.

As of now, Nichols Career Students will still attend this week.
