Curtiss Stapleton 1976-2025

Curtiss Stapleton, 48, Linn, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at his residence.

He was born Nov. 20, 1976, a son to Marvin and Betty (Shaw) Stapleton in Grapevine, Texas.

He was a 1993 graduate of Collinsville High School in Collinsville, Texas and later earned a bachelor’s degree in Bio Medicals.   

Curtiss proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy.

He was united in marriage to Lisa Preece Dec. 8, 1998, in Jacksonville, N.C.

Curtiss was employed with the Harry S. Truman Hospital in Columbia at the time of his passing. 

He was preceded in death by father, Marvin; son, Christian Palacios; and sister, Maggie Stapleton.  Curtiss is survived by wife, Lisa; mother, Betty; sons, Ashley Palacios and wife Jade and Harry Stapleton and wife Alisha of Rolla; daughter-in-law, Jillion Brockway of Preston, Conn.; four granddaughters; brother, John Stapleton and wife Diana of Tampa, Fla.; and sister, Cheryl Stapleton-Knele and husband Mark of the state of Texas.

Visitation will be held from 3 to 5 p.m., (today) Wednesday, May 7, followed by a Celebration of Life Service and Military Honors at Morton Chapel in Linn.
