Cynthia Lee Stuecken, known affectionately as “Cindy,” 67, Freeburg, passed away Dec. 23, 2024, at University Hospital in Columbia.

She was born Dec. 14, 1957, to the late Clarence and Freda (Wieberg) Kampeter in Jefferson City.

She graduated from Fatima High School in Westphalia with the class of 1976.

Cindy was united in marriage to Marlon Stuecken July 23, 1977, in Argyle and together they shared 47 years of love, adventure and cherished memories.

She worked at Quaker Windows in Freeburg for a time before becoming a devoted homemaker and the proud owner of an in-home daycare, where she cared for children for 15 years.

Cindy was passionate about life and enjoyed spending time with her family. She and Marlon had many fond memories of trips to the river, gambling, and traveling together—especially to islands, beaches, cruises, and Mexico. Cindy was a wonderful cook and found great joy in preparing meals for her family. She also treasured attending her children and grandchildren’s sporting events and was always there to cheer them on.

Cindy was preceded in death by sister, Bonnie Haslag; and brother-in-law, Don Council.

She is survived by her beloved husband, Marlon; son, Noland Stuecken and wife Jody; daughters, Erica Robertson and husband Matt and Victoria Jansen and husband Matt; grandchildren, Ava, Max and Isabella Stuecken, Jack, Matthew, Henry and George Robertson, and Jaxtyn and Easton Jansen and a baby girl Jansen on the way; siblings, Judy Stuecken and husband Maurice, Betty Council, Marcia Scheperle and husband Gary, Ralph Kampeter and Laure Falter and husband Rick; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday, Dec. 30, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Freeburg with Rev. William Debo officiating.  Interment was in the Holy Family Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions suggested to the Holy Family Capital Campaign.

Arrangements entrusted to Hilke-Millard Funeral Home in Westphalia.
