Daniel “Danny” Lee Boss, 56, Chamois, passed away Thursday, May 19, 2021, at University Hospital and Clinics.
He was born Nov. 25, 1964, to the late Elmer and Mary (Dill) Boss in Jefferson City.
He was a 1983 graduate of Osage County R-1 High School and went on to attend Lincoln University and earned an associate’s degree. Through the years Danny worked for several farmers as a ranch hand.
He enjoyed fishing with friends on the Missouri River. Danny was a kind and generous soul who was always willing to lend a hand. He was a great lover of dogs and never met one he didn’t like. Danny will be greatly missed by his friends and family.
He was preceded in death by parents, Elmer and Mary; sister, Joyce Boss-Schowengerdt; infant brother, Gary Richard Boss; and beloved pup, Abby
Danny is survived by brother, Michael Boss; nephews, Jacob Boss and Brandon Schowengerdt; and niece, Tamara Bevard.
Visitation will be held from 11a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by a memorial Mass Thursday, May 27, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Chamois with Fr. David Means officiating.
