Darleen Martha Broeker, 88, Pershing, passed away Monday, Dec. 16, 2024, at her home.
She was born Feb. 29, 1936, to the late Benjamin G. and Anna M. (Koelling) Deppe in Pershing.
She was united in marriage to Richard August Broeker Oct. 23, 1954, at Zion-St. Peter’s United Church of Christ in Pershing.
Darleen was a member of Zion-St. Peter United Church of Christ in Pershing. She was very involved in the church having been the vice president and president of the Zion St Peters Women’s Fellowship as well as being treasurer of the Pershing Cemetery Association for 25 years.
Darleen worked as a licensed practical nurse at the Gasconade County Health Department for 43 years.
She enjoyed music, gardening, canning, quilting, traveling and especially spending time with her children, grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Darleen was preceded in death by husband of 60 years, Richard; parents, Benjamin and Anna; brother, Oliver Deppe; and brother-in-law, Calvin Broeker and wife Eleanor.
She is survived by daughter, Diane Martellaro and husband Jack of Chamois; sons, Duane Broeker and wife Karie of Hartsburg, Darren Broeker, and David Broeker and wife Karin, all of Morrison; grandchildren, John Martellaro and wife Katie, Shaun Broeker and wife Miriah, Ben Broeker, Kayla Weatherby and husband Reece, Johnathan, Chase and Deziree Broeker, Carileen Woodbury and husband Jacob, Joe Broeker, Grant Broeker and wife Makayla and Ella and Sentha Broeker; eight great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Delores Deppe of Morrison.
Funeral services were held Saturday, Dec. 21 at Zion-St. Peter United Church of Christ in Pershing with Rev. Dean Klossner officiating.
Interment was in the Pershing Cemetery.
