Donald “Donnie” Dale Shelden, 80, Linn, passed away Wednesday, Nov. 2, 2022, at SSM Health St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City.

He was born March 7, 1942, to the late George and Ellen (Henson) Shelden in Powellville.

He served his country in the U.S. Navy.

Donnie was united in marriage to Mary Wood July 24, 1965, in Eldon.

He was employed with Ernie Jones Auto Sales now known as Lloyd Belt, the Missouri Department of Transportation until retirement in 2003 after which he then drove a school bus in Jefferson City.

He was preceded in death by parents, George and Ellen; and six siblings.

Donnie is survived by spouse, Mary; son, Eric Shelden and wife Amy of St. Louis; daughter, Tanya Nolting and husband Mike of Mt. Sterling; three grandchildren; one great-grandson; brother, Lonnie Shelden and wife Pat of North Carolina; half-brother, Wendell “Butch” Null of Dixon; sister, Linda Fenton of Joplin; and sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Barbara Slaughter and husband Carl of Olathe, Kan.

The funeral service was held Nov. 8, at Salem Hope Presbyterian Church in Hope with Jason Hilkerbaumer officiating. Interment was in Salem Hope Cemetery.
