Dorothy Fick Essig, 91, Ballwin, passed away Jan. 11, 2021, in Ballwin.
She was born Aug. 12, 1929, to the late Alphonse and Louise Fick in Rich Fountain.
She was a graduate of Webster University. Dorothy was employed with Parkway Schools, White-Rodgers, Aeronautical Chart and Information Center and Army Finance Center as well as a homemaker and expert cookie baker.
She was a volunteer with La Leche League, OASIS, Stephen Ministry. Dorothy was an active member of St. Joseph (Manchester) Parish for more than 50 years. Dorothy was a
She was preceded in death by spouse, John; parents, Alphonse and Louise; brothers, Albert, Edwin and Geor Fick; and sister, Rosemary Fick.
Dorothy is survived by sons, Leonard Essig and wife Heather, Mary Essig, Daniel Essig and wife Vicki and Mark Essig and companion Melissa Cole; grandchildren, Emily, Katherine, Joseph, John and Lydia Essig, Jacob and Ella Essig-Beatty and Olivia Vigee; brothers, Alan, Lawrence and Thomas Fick.
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
