Douglas Lee Martin, 62, Dixon, passed away Tuesday, June 8, 2021, at his residence in Dixon.
He was born Jan. 19, 1959, to the late Hershel Lee and Rose Mary (Hawkins) Martin in Waynesville.
He was a member of the Kenner Church of God. Doug was the owner, operator and driver of his dump truck hauling service from 1983 until 2019, when he had to stop driving due to failing health.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Herschel and Rose Mary.
Douglas is survived by brother, Dwayne Martin of Dixon; and three sisters, Elaine Fritchey and Marsha Harsch, both of Dixon, and Carol Thurman and husband Richard of Brumley; and special friend, Debbie Barnett of Iberia.
Funeral services were held Monday, June 14, in Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Dixon with Pastor Beverly Sharp officiating. Inurnment was in the Kenner Cemetery near Dixon.
