LINN — The Osage County Sheriff’s Office, in collaboration with the Missouri State Highway Patrol and the Linn Police Department, conducted a Driving While Intoxicated (DWI) saturation campaign on Nov. 6-7 in the Linn area. This joint operation aimed to raise awareness about the dangers of drinking and driving and to enhance road safety in that community on paved and gravel roads.
During the campaign, officers were strategically deployed to identify and apprehend impaired drivers. The operation resulted in several arrests and citations, demonstrating law enforcement’s commitment to keeping roads safe.
The Missouri State Highway Patrol reminds the public that driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs is not only illegal but also puts lives at risk.
“Our goal is to reduce the number of alcohol-related accidents and fatalities,” Sheriff Bonham added. “We urge everyone to make responsible choices and to never drive under the influence.”
The Osage County Sheriff’s Office, Missouri Highway Patrol, and Linn Police Department will continue to work together to ensure the safety of residents and visitors.
“We appreciate the community’s support and cooperation in this important initiative,” said Bonham.
