Emma “Katie” Rustemeyer, 35, Linn, passed away Saturday, Jan. 21, 2023, at her residence surrounded by her loving family.
She was born June 17, 1987, to the late Howard Kent Chilcoat and Sharon K. Kesel in Jefferson City.
She was a 2005 graduate of Jefferson City High School and attended Columbia College.
Emma was united in marriage to Adam Rustemeyer Oct. 12, 2018, in Columbia.
She was employed at Woodhaven Special Learning Center in Columbia as an administrative assistant.
Emma was preceded in death by father, Howard; brother, Billy “Bubba” Brown; and maternal grandparents, Phil and Nora Kesel.
She is survived by spouse, Adam; mother, Sharon; stepson, Carson Rustemeyer of Wardsville; brother, Lucas Chilcoat and wife Britney of Columbia; sister, Sara Shuck of the state of Virginia; and half-sister, Crystal Prince Nelson of the state of Oklahoma.
Visitation will be held from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 4, followed by a Mass of Christian burial at St. George Catholic Church in Linn with Fr. Anthony “Tony” Rinaldo officiating.
Memorial contributions suggested to the American Cancer Society.
