Fatima advanced eight events to sectionals on the boys’ side after last weekend’s Class 3, District 5 track meet.
“Overall, all of our athletes had a good day at districts,” said Coach Marc Bridges.
Tyler Kloeppel advanced in the 800m run after winning the event in 2:06. He also ran with Tyler Koenigsfeld, Ryan Kesel and Easton Haslag in the winning 800m relay (2:32).
Haslag won the javelin to move to the next round with a throw of 145-11.50, and finished second in the 400m relay with Koenigsfeld, Kesel, and T. Kloeppel with a new school record (45.12). Curtis Falter finished second in the discus (127-1.5).
Also competing at sectionals will be Michael Kloeppel in the 1600m run (3, 5:04), Cody Berhorst in the 3200m run (3, 11:09), and Haslag in the 200m dash (4, 23.38).
