Fatima soccer to host PinkOut Event to support breast cancer prevention

Fatima’s soccer program will host its annual PinkOut event at 6 p.m. on Monday, April 21, during a home match against Blair Oaks. The event aims to raise awareness for breast cancer prevention, with all proceeds going to the Red Slipper Warrior Project, an organization that supports women battling breast cancer.

“This is more than a game — it’s an opportunity for our athletes and community to stand together for something bigger,” said Coach Sami Jo Freeman. “We’re proud to support warriors who inspire strength and resilience every day.”

Fans are encouraged to wear pink and show their support as both the boys’ and girls’ teams take the field. Special PinkOut t-shirts and concessions will be available, with all sales contributing to the cause.

Red Slipper Warrior Project instills courage and confidence in women and girls fighting cancer with tools to reinforce their self-esteem and harness a Warrior spirit. More than 8.5 million women around the world are diagnosed with cancer each year, and in the United States alone, nearly one million are diagnosed annually.
