Fatima’s JH track teams did very well at the Hermann meet last week as the boys earned second and the Lady Comets were third.
“I’m very proud of the team and how they have performed these past two weeks,” said Coach James Vignola.
Ian Johnston led the Comets with wins in the long jump (4.86m) and the high jump (1.5m). Jayden Eisterhold placed second in the 100m (13.33), second in the 200m (27.07), and third in the long jump (4.82m), and Gus Storm took third in the pole vault (2m). The 4x800 team won in 11:36.44 while the 4x100 team was second (53.30), and the 4x200 (2:01.97) and 4x400 (4:52.02) teams were third.
The Lady Comets 4x400 earned first (5:50.24), the 4x800 placed second (13:25.16), and the 4x100 (1:02.21) and 4x200 (2:18.83) teams were third.
Individually, Allison McDonnell placed second in the 400m (1:14.32) and the 100m hurdles (20.73), while Brielle DuValeus was second in the high jump (1.2m) and fifth in the 100m (15.25).
