Frederick “Fred” Francis Reinkemeyer, 88, Henley, passed away Monday, Nov. 29, 2021, at Good Shephard Care Center in Versailles.

He was born July 15, 1933, to the late William and Anna (Hilke) Reinkemeyer in Argyle.

He was united in marriage to Betty Huhman, Aug. 9, 1958, in Meta.

Fred honorably served his country in the U. S. Army from July 23, 1953, to June 9, 1955, receiving the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal.

He retired from ABB Factory in Jefferson City after years of dedicated employment.

Fred enjoyed spending time outdoors fishing and was an avid baseball fan. He was a member of St. Cecilia Catholic Church.

Fred was preceded in death by parents, William and Anna; siblings, Clarence, Vincent and James Reinkemeyer, Laura Knight, Helen Schaefer and Florence “Hootie” Owens; brothers-in-law, C.W. “Joe” Knight, Charlie Schaefer and Richard Owens; son-in-law, William McMillin; and grandson, Jordan Oliver.

He is survived by loving wife of 63 years, Betty; children, Mary “Annie” Green and husband Kenny, Katie McMillin and friend Ted Ellsworth, David Reinkemeyer and wife Karen, Darlene Oliver and husband Randy and Karen Sue Kempker and husband Nick; grandchildren, Chad, Nick, Jennifer, Stacia, Curtis, Ashley, Nathan, Brad and Brittany; 14 great-grandchildren with one on the way due May of 2022; sister, Delores Larson; and sisters-in-law, Rita, Mary Jane and Rosella Reinkemeyer; and numerous nieces, nephews, family and friends.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Memorial contributions suggested to the Alzheimer’s Association.
