Fatima runner Wyatt Gabelsberger ran his second-fastest time at Saturday’s Class 3 state meet at Gans Creek on his way to a 96th-place finish. His time of 18:21.40 came just one week after running his fastest time of the season at the district meet.
“Wyatt had a good race and had a great freshman year,” said Coach Marc Bridges.
Gabelsberger, who earned both All-Conference and All-District honors, ran the first mile 5:41 and was in 158th place and then did a great job of moving up through the field of 170 runners, making up 62 spots over the next 4000 meters.
