Gary Norman Rollins, 80, Dixon, passed away Saturday, Jan. 1, 2022, at his residence.

He was born April 10, 1941, to William Allen and Mary Dewey (Boyce) Rollins in Brinktown.

He was united in marriage to Neta Jean Peterson, Dec. 23, 1961, in Dixon.

Gary was employed in highway and road construction starting in 1963 with Koss Construction Company, Springfield, and later with Clarkson Construction Company, Kansas City, for a total of forty working years prior to his retirement in 2003. Gary was an active member of Wheeler Church of Christ.

He was preceded in death by parents William and Mary; brothers and sisters Marion Oland Rollins, Theodore Allen Rollins, Edwin Buell “Bates” Rollins, Audrey Pauline Stokes, Norma Eileen Withers, Muriel Maxine Lee, Melva Darlene Hayes, William “Bill” Joe Rollins, and Robert “Bobby” Ray Rollins.

He is survived by wife of just over sixty years Neta of their home in Dixon; children Mark Landon Rollins and wife Myra of Battlefield, Gary Kyle Rollins and wife Jill of Newburg, Misty Marydawn Alexander and husband Oscar of Dixon, and Cody Dean Rollins and wife Tammy of Battlefield; brothers Alvin Myrl Rollins and wife Barb of Crocker, and Leland Forrest and wife Darlene of the state of Ariz.; 11 grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be Wednesday (today), Jan. 5, from 10 a.m.–12 Noon, in Wheeler Church of Christ, Dixon, with funeral services following with Bill Harris officiating.

Interment will be in Wheeler Cemetery.

Memorials suggested to Little Prairie Bible Camp, Rolla.
