Gene Havelka, 86, St. Louis, formerly of Drake, passed away Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at Mercy South.
He was born Sept. 17, 1935, to Ervin and Sophia Havelka in Owensville.
He was united in marriage to Shirley (Krause) Havelka April 27, 1958, in Drake.
Gene was in the U.S. Navy from 1956 to 1960. He was a member of West County Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
He is survived by wife Shirley; daughter Stacy; son Brian; and brother Milford.
A memorial service will be held November 6, at 6 p.m., with a celebration of life to follow from 7–9 p.m. at West County Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Chesterfield.
