Gerhard “Jerry” Welschmeyer, 86, Columbia, formerly of Freeburg, passed away Wednesday, March 15, 2023, at Parkside Manor in Columbia.
He was born April 2, 1936, to the late Anton and Mary (Lauberth) Welschmeyer in Freeburg.
He graduated from Holy Family Catholic School in Freeburg.
Jerry was employed at Quaker Windows in Freeburg.
He was preceded in death by parents, Anton and Mary; sisters, twin Betty Mueller, Lorine Deeken, Thersia Evers and Mildred Hopkins; and brother, Paul Welschmeyer.
Jerry is survived by sister, Helen Grellner and husband Bob of Rich Fountain.
Mass of Christian Burial was held March 18, at Holy Family Catholic Church in Freeburg with Fr. William Debo officiating. Interment was in Holy Family Parish Cemetery in Freeburg.
