Henry “Hank” J. Reinkemeyer, 88, Linn, passed away Saturday, Nov. 16, 2024, at SSM Health St. Mary’s in Jefferson City.
He was born Nov. 21, 1935, to the late Henry H. and Hildagarde (Merz) Reinkemeyer in St. Louis.
He was a 1953 graduate of St. Louis University High School.
Hank was united in marriage to Elizabeth “Betty” Rebello May 12, 1956, at St. Catherine of Alexandria Catholic Church in St. Louis County.
He was employed with the United States Postal Service for 34 1/2 years.
Hank was preceded in death by parents, Henry and Hildagarde; and sisters, Delores Laposha and Barbara King.
He is survived by wife of 68 years, Betty; children, Tony Reinkemeyer and wife Cheryl and John Reinkemeyer and wife Nancy, all of Linn, Ann Zaleuka and husband Tom of New Melle, Deacon Bob Reinkemeyer and wife Lisa of Syracuse and Mary Barger and husband John of O’Fallon; 20 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 9 until 11 a.m., (today) Wednesday, Nov. 20, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. George Catholic Church in Linn with Fr. Colin Franklin and Fr. Daniel Merz officiating and his son, Deacon Bob Reinkemeyer assisting. Interment will be in the St. George Parish Cemetery.
