Both of Holy Family’s cross country teams finished the season with first-place hardware at last week’s Cole County Park in their Liferunners jerseys. “These kids had a great running season and finished it off strong,” said Coach Wes Kampeter. “I love watching them show off their dedication to all the hard work they put in over the season. I am very proud of each one of them and look forward to next year.”
Lexi Massman led the Lady Knights with an individual championship in a time of 9:39 as Chloe Voss finished fourth in 10:08, followed by Rilynn Wieberg (16, 11:08), Ashton Berhorst (19, 11:18), and Brooklyn Kampeter (21, 11:21).
In the boys’ race, Evan Kampeter finished with a team-best fourth-place run in 9:09, followed by Carter Orscheln (7, 9:27), Will Borgmeyer (11, 9:45), Beckham Stuckenschneider (12, 9:46), Camden Cox (24, 10:16), Emmett Dake (28, 10:18), Maxen Kloeppel (36, 10:40), Hank Kampeter (58, 11:31), and Mathew Kloeppel (75, 12:30).
