A two-vehicle crash on Highway 63 on Dec. 5 injured a man from Steelville.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred at 2:20 p.m. about 2 miles north of Vienna when a southbound 2010 Hyundai Sonata driven by a 43-year-old man from Steelville crossed the centerline and struck a 2022 Ford Econoline E350 driven by a 26-year-old man from Dixon. The E350 traveled off the roadway and overturned.
The Sonata driver sustained serious injuries. Phelps Air transported him to University Hospital in Columbia.
The crash totaled both vehicles. Plaza Towing removed the Sonata from the scene, and C&C Towing removed the E350.
Another crash on Elk Head Road in Gasconade County injured a woman from Belle.
According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol report, the crash occurred at 5:40 a.m. on Dec. 6 about 1.25 miles south of Petersen Road when a southbound 2008 Chevrolet Impala driven by a 79-year-old woman failed to negotiate a curve before traveling off the right side of the roadway and striking a tree.
The driver sustained minor injuries. An ambulance transported her to University Hospital in Columbia.
The crash totaled the vehicle. Owen’s Towing removed it from the scene.
