Sylvester and Evelyn (Niekamp) Kremer celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary recently with lunch with their family at Veit’s Restaurant in Jefferson City and then spent the afternoon at the Mother’s Shrine in Laurie to view the placement of Evelyn’s name on the Mother’s Shrine.
Sylvester and Evelyn were married Saturday, Sept. 5, 1959 at St. Francis Xavier Church. Father Bernard Mers was the officiant.
They were attended by Wilma (Niekamp) Prenger, Agnes (Kremer) Muenks, Al Kremer (deceased) and Robert Niekamp.
Sylvester and Evelyn have 13 children: Dennis Kremer, Karla (Gerald) Holzer, Bonnie (Jim) Haslag, Doug (Sandy) Kremer, Gary (Sandy) Kremer, Norman Kremer (deceased), Joe (Kim, deceased) Kremer, Sharon (Dale) Williams, Scott Kremer, Kelly (Dean) Kempker, Kristi (Pat) Luebbering, Karen (Leon) Luebbering, and Patrick (Mindy) Kremer.
They also have 22 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
