Larry A. Boss, 83, Chamois, passed away June 21, 2022, at his home.
He was born July 17, 1938, to the late Otto H. and Florence (Schollmeyer) Boss in Chamois.
He was united in marriage to Vivian Vogel June 18, 1960, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
Larry was a 1956 graduate of Osage R-1 Chamois.
He was employed as a truck driver 18 years and then worked for ABB for 26 years until his retirement.
Larry was a faithful member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church.
He enjoyed playing baseball, woodworking, gardening, fishing, playing dominoes, watching T.V., but most of all, loved spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Larry was preceded in death by parents, Otto and Florence; six brothers; and five sisters.
He is survived by wife Vivian; daughters, Kimberly Trachsel and husband Wayne and Kathy Brandt and husband Jerome, all of Chamois, Karen Kuschel and husband Kent of Morrison and Kelly Maxwell of Jefferson City; sister, Alverda Koetting of Sedalia; grandchildren, Kirsten Dunn and husband Tim, Emily Frank and husband Shawn, Kurt Kuschel and wife Katie, Shawna Surman and husband Tyler, Kyle Kuschel and wife Kellien, Sarah Baker and husband David, Jacob Trachsel and friend Amanda Rackers, Klayton Kuschel and wife Kelsey and Allison Maxwell and friend Derrick McGreevey; great-grandchildren, Will, Olivia, Ellie, Zeke, Gus, Aidan, Lyla, Marshal, Kennedy, Josie, Henry, Thea, Kori, Nora Jo, Sawyer Jane and two more on the way; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
A Mass of Christian burial was held Monday, June 27, at Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church with Fr. David Means officiating.
