LINN — Linn R-2 is offering free breakfast and lunch to any kids ages up to 18 in the community through the Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services’ Summer Food Service Program.
Meals will be served in the cafeteria on Tuesdays - Fridays from May 21 until June 21. Breakfast is served from 7:30-8 a.m., and lunch from 10:50 a.m. until 12:30 p.m.
Per the school’s Facebook page, “Meals must meet USDA and Missouri Department of Health and Senior Services program guidelines and eaten on site in the designated cafeteria. The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP) helps assure that eligible populations have access to nutritious meals during the summer to community agencies offering the required continuum of meals.”
Chamois R-1 will also offer free breakfast and lunch Monday - Thursday from July 29 until Aug. 8. Meals will be served in the cafeteria, with breakfast offered from 7:40-8 a.m. and lunch from 11:30 a.m. until noon.
This program is available to all children in the community, even if they do not attend public school.
