Michelle D. Ruengert, 38, of Linn, faces a charge of possession of a controlled substance following a Feb. 2 traffic stop on Loose Creek Highway.
Deputy Andrew Koon in his probable cause statement noted that Ruengert failed to signal when turning from Hwy. 50 onto Loose Creek Highway, which prompted the stop.
During the stop, Ruengert told deputies she had a syringe in her purse containing methamphetamine, which was later confirmed in a search. The syringe contained 30ML of the drug.
K-9 Zed conducted a free-air sniff of the vehicle and alerted to the presence of drugs but a search of the vehicle did not locate any additional substances.
Ruengert was booked into the Osage County Jail and released on her own recognizance.
