Mary Crider, 79, Tuscumbia, passed away Saturday, April 12, 2025, at Maries Manor in Vienna.
She was born Aug.16, 1945, to the late Ray and Lucille (Fisher) Thompson in Maries County.
She was united in marriage to Harold James Crider June 12, 1965.
Mary enjoyed working in her flower gardens, having at one time created a large garden of wildflowers that was a true work of art. She found joy in the simple pleasures of life and cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. “Grandma’s” cinnamon rolls and homemade bread were something everyone looked forward to.
Mary was preceded in death by husband, Harold; parents, Ray and Lucille; sister, Desi; and brothers, Leo, Bill, Marvin, and Lonnie.
She is survived by children, Robin Howser and husband Billy, Kelly Knowles and Norman Crider and wife Angela; grandchildren, Beth, Jessica and husband Jeffrey, Logan, Anna, Katie, Dayle, Broderick, Callie, DJ and Will; honorary granddaughter, Grace; six great-grandchildren; brothers, Don Thompson and wife Nancy and Ronnie Thompson and wife Donna; life-long friend, Mary Spencer; and a host of nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Mary’s final wishes were to be cremated.
