Mary Ruth (Gan) Deardeuff, 88, passed away March 24, 2023.
She was born May 27, 1934 to the late Albert and Wilma (Wade) Gan on the family farm in Wharton.
She attended the Lone Star school house and after her family relocated, graduated from Dixon High School in 1953.
Mary was united in marriage to James Harlan Deardeuff, Oct. 3, 1953, in Dixon.
She was employed with Brown Shoe in Dixon for several years and Florsheim Shoe Distribution Center in Jefferson City until retiring after 28 years.
Mary was preceded in death by parents, Albert and Wilma; husband, Harlan; brother, Albert Gan; sisters, baby Darlene, Velma Bosher and Delores Webb.
She is survived by children, Judy Roberds and husband Tom and Wayne Deardeuff and wife Jerline, all of Meta and David Deardeuff and wife Marta of Henley; six grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; brother, Roy Gan of Arnold; and sister Grace Parker and husband Bill of Springfield.
Visitation will be held from 10 until 11 a.m., (today) Wednesday, March 29 followed by the funeral service at Long-Kloeppel Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Dixon.
