Mary Katherine Weith,88,Westphalia, formerly of Jefferson City and Gasconade passed away, Friday, Aug. 21, 2020 at Westphalia Hills.
She was born Dec. 21, 1931, to Wessel C. and Leona P. (VanBooven) Theissen in Rhineland.
She was united in marriage Oct. 25, 1947, to Kenneth R. “ Dick” Weith.
Mary owned and operated Mary’s Place in Gasconade for several years. She was a former member of the Hermann Bridle and Saddle Club and the Rough Country Trail Riders.
She was preceded in death by parents, Wessel and Leona; sisters Neoma Craig and Francis Weissenbach; and brothers, Glendo and Donald (Buck) Theissen.
Mary is survived by daughters, Kathy Winge and husband Gary and Carolyn Redden and husband Wayne, all of Jefferson City and Marilyn Stephan and husband Dave of Linn; sons, Clifford V. Weith and wife Karen of Parkville; and Kenneth R. Weith Jr. and wife Kim of Jefferson City; sisters, Flora Mae Jones of Imperial, Betty Lou Whayne and husband Omer, Ruth Ann Tipton and Martha Jane Decker and husband Leroy, all of St. Louis; brother Rudolph Theissen and wife Pat of Hillsboro;14 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral service was held, Tuesday, Aug. 25, at the Toedtmann & Grosse Funeral Home in Hermann. Interment was in the Gasconade Cemetery in Gasconade.
