Darrien J. Mebruer, 18, of Linn, was arrested Feb. 4 following an alleged drug transaction at Pointers Creek Conservation Area.
Deputy Tiffaney (Herndon) Johnson reported that she was conducting a check of the area when she saw a Chevy HHR running without its lights on at about 6:49 p.m.
Johnson tapped on the window and asked if everything was okay. When the passenger rolled down the window, the smell of marijuana emanated from the vehicle, which is registered to Roxanne Mebruer.
The passenger, a minor, said she had no identification but provided a date of birth. Another passenger, Darrien Mebruer, was in the back seat.
Due to the odor of marijuana, Johnson requested a consent search of the vehicle, which was denied. However, probable cause existed so a search was conducted.
Located in the car were three bags of marijuana weighing just over three ounces, two containers of Dab Wax, a Dab Wax pen, a marijuana grinder, two torch lighters, a camp-fuel torch, a digital scale, two pipes, a charging cable, and several 3x3-inch plastic baggies.
Mebruer claimed ownership of all items except the Dab Wax materials, which belonged to the minor.
Mebruer was booked into the Osage County Jail and released. He faces charges of delivery of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia.
