Michael William Kantola, 58, Linn, passed away Monday, March 28, 2022 at his home.
He was born Jan. 31, 1964, to Lillian Kantola in Clarkston, Wash.
He was a 1983 graduate of Linn High School and went on to earn an associates degree in Computer Science from Linn State Technical College. Afterwards he served his country in the U. S. Navy. Michael worked for Scholastic, Inc. for over 15 years.
He enjoyed playing games of all kinds and attending black powder rendezvous.
Michael was preceded in death by step-father, Ronald J. Hellebusch.
He is survived by mother, Lillian Hellebusch; brother, Kim Hellebusch and wife Jennifer; sister, Denise Hubbard and husband Mitchell; aunts, Rose Shatos and Betty Niemann and husband Bill; uncles, Ed Kantola and wife Virginia and Emil Kantola and wife Yvonne.
Funeral services were held April 1, at Pilgrim Lutheran Church with Rev. Paul Landgraf officiating. Interment was in the Pilgrim Lutheran Church Cemetery.
Memorial contributions suggested to Lutheran Women’s Missionary League.
