MORRISON — At their August meeting, Morrison aldermen set the tax levy at $0.5978 per $100 assessed valuation as determined by the state auditor’s office.
Real estate valuation was $1,071,286, and personal property valuation was $417,346, with a total assessed valuation of $1,488,632.
The approved tax levy is estimated to generate revenues of $8,886.
In other business, aldermen adopted the 2024-25 budget, which anticipates $95,550 in revenues and expenses.
The budget breaks down revenues as general fund ($22,700), water, sewer and trash ($57,300), special water fund ($9,850), and motor fuel fund ($5,700), with expenditures matching the income in each account.
