Osage County 911/EMA Director Andrea Rice last Tuesday submitted her resignation, effective Jan. 3, 2020.
In a letter to commissioners, Rice said it has been a “tremendous honor to serve the citizens and visitors of Osage County. I have been fortunate to work with commissioners Russell Scheulen, the late Jerry Wolfe, Vince Samson, Dave Dudenhoeffer, Elmer Senevey, John Glavin, Larry Kliethermes, and Darryl Griffin. Gentlemen, I cannot thank you enough for giving me this opportunity, for your guidance and support during these last 15 years.”
Rice provided a sample statement of minimum qualifications for the position and the commission has purchased an advertisement for applicants to replace her, with a deadline to apply of 4:30 p.m. Oct. 16.
A story on Rice’s career will appear in an upcoming issue of the UD.
