Robert Leo “Bob” Peitzmeyer, 70, Taos, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 25, 2022, at University Hospital in Columbia.

He was born Sept. 27, 1952, to the late Anthony William and Agatha Elizabeth (Eiken) Peitzmeyer in Jefferson City.

He was employed in the autobody repair field for various dealerships and garages and most recently worked part-time for O’Reilly Auto Parts as a delivery driver until August when his health declined.

Bob was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos, the Mid- MO Car Club, and enjoyed attending car shows.

He was preceded in death by parents, Anthony and Agatha; and brother-in-law, Larry Nilges.

Bob is survived by sisters, Mary Nilges of St. Martins and Diane Brandt and husband Robert “Bob” of Hartsburg; nieces, Julie Fischer, Lisa Ivy and husband Billy; nephews, Kevin Nilges and wife Beth and Keith Nilges and wife Patricia; 10 great-nieces and nephews; two great-great- nieces; and aunts, uncles, cousins and other extended family members.

Mass of Christian burial was held Nov. 3, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Taos with the Rev. Kelechi Uzuegbu officiating.

Interment was in St. Francis Xavier Catholic Cemetery.

Memorial contributions suggested to the Mid-MO Car Club Scholarship or to the Leukemia Research Foundation.

Arrangements entrusted to Trimble Funeral Homes in Jefferson City.
