Ronald G. Rector, 86, of Cedar Creek, near Jefferson City passed away Sept.15, 2021 at St. Mary’s Hospital in Jefferson City.  

He was born Jan. 31, 1935, to the late Wilbert Howard Rector and Nina Mae Melton-Rector in Hermann. 

He was united in marriage to Beverly McVey June 23, 1956, in East St. Louis, Ill. 

Ronald served his country in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the St. Peters Catholic Church in Jefferson City as well as a member and secretary of the Full Gospel Business Men’s Association. 

Ronald owned and operated DID-JA-KRASH Auto Body. He also worked for Riley’s Chevrolet, Lloyd Belt Automotive and McKay Buick as an auto body man. 

He was a devoted  husband and father, an avid fisherman and hunter. Ronald  loved dancing, automobiles and telling stories of his life experiences. He was very creative with multiple “projects” going at all times.

Ronald was preceded in death by parents, Wilbert and Nina; son, Ronald S. Rector; sisters, Bonnie Sue Murray, Peggy Joan Eihler and husband Gene and Mary Ann Murphy; and brother, Robert Eugene Rector.

He is survived by wife, Beverly; daughters, Theresa Jan Rector-Prenger of Jefferson City, Nina Louise Brown of Taos, Hope Ellen Mundwiller and Michael R. of Hermann; daughter-in-law, Jody Rector of Jefferson City; grandchildren, Myia L. Grigg and Faith Prenger, both of Wardsville, Luke C. Prenger and wife Molly, Angel L. Backers and Roxanne E. Alden, all of Jefferson City, Ryan Rector and wife Rachel of Nashville, Tenn.; Charlotte R. Burgess and husband Ty of Linn and Caleb J. Mundwiller of Columbia; numerous great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brother-in-law, Kenneth Murphy of Centertown; sisters-in-law, Patricia Hernandez of St. Louis, Gloria (Hazim) Khazal and husband Hazim of RuiDoso, N.M., Marilyn Rodrian and husband Deiter of Caseyville, Ill. and Barbara McKee-Rector of Jefferson City.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Sept. 21, at Robinson Funeral Home in Ashland. 

Interment was in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Hartsburg. 

Memorial contributions  suggested to Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in care of  the family.
