Rosalie “Rosie” Marie (Buschmann) Leuthen, 90, Vienna, passed away Aug. 31, 2021, at her home in Vienna. 

She was born July 22, 1931, to the late William John and Clara Catherine (Zimmer) Buschmann.

She was united in marriage to Kenneth Michael Leuthen.

Rosie graduated from Visitation Catholic School in 1945.

She was employed at Tilley’s Restaurant, Langenberg Hat Factory, the county bank and owned Rosie’s Café.

Rosie was a life-long member of Visitation Catholic Church in Vienna.  

She was preceded in death by parents, William and Clara; sister, Marcie Wansing-Ready; and brothers Bernard and Leonard Buschmann.

Rosie is survived by daughters, Lisa Jones and husband Pat of Vienna and Deborah “Debbie” Strope and husband Eric of St. Thomas; six grandsons; 12 great-grandchildren; brothers, Lawrence Buschmann and wife Dorothy of Vienna and Bill Buschmann and wife Diane of Taos; and sisters, Berniece Veasman of Brinktown; Leona Schwartze and husband Jerome, Theresa Neuner and husband Stan, Mary Helton and husband Dorsey and Ann Bax and husband Dennis, all of Jefferson City.

A Mass of Christian burial was held Sunday, Sept. 5 at Visitation Catholic Church in Vienna with Rev. Basil Tigga officiating and Deacons John Schwartze and Michael Brooks assisting.

Interment was in the Visitation Cemetery in Vienna.

Arrangements entrusted to Birmingham-Martin Funeral Home in Vienna.

Memorial contributions suggested to Masses or to Visitation Inter-Parish School in her memory.
