Rosellen Rakestraw, 84, Augusta, passed away, Oct. 24, 2021, at Cedarcrest Manor Nursing Home in Washington.
She was born June 10, 1937, to the late Charles Griffith and Clyde Ella Eastwood Griffith in Sebree, Ky.
Rosellen loved babies and cooking. Children were her life.
She was preceded in death by husband, Arch; and parents, Charles and Clyde Ella.
Rosellen is survived by sons, Gregory Rakestraw and wife Amy of Florida, Jeffrey Rakestraw and wife Stacy of St. Louis, Joseph Rakestraw and wife Mary of Westphalia; daughter, Sharon Beumer and husband Timothy of Augusta; ten grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services were held Thursday, Oct. 28, at Barnett-Strother Funeral Home - Providence Chapel in Madisonville, Ky.,with Bro. Mark Hobgood officiating. Interment was in Mount Pleasant Cemetery.
Pallbearers were Gregory, Eric, Adam and James Rakestraw, Mike Bode and Timothy Beumer.
